The Western Sydney Wanderers goalkeeper, formerly of Hammarby and Elfsborg, will take the gloves for the A-League All-Stars team in Sydney when United come to town and is looking forward to the challenge.
“No goalkeeper wants to be bombarded with shots, but it would be great if I got the chance to play and possibly save a cracker each from Rooney and van Persie,” said the 38-year old.
“Every player wants to play against the best and be challenged to do his best, and the thought of playing against Manchester United in front of a full house at ANZ Stadium – anyone who thinks that isn’t a huge occasion is kidding themselves.”
He added: “It wouldn’t just be unreal to play against them – it would be better than unreal – and it would also be incredible to play alongside great players like Alessandro Del Piero, if that’s how it works out. He’s a legend, and he’s been tremendous for the A-League.”
