Arsene Wenger has reportedly told Arsenal he wants to commit to a new contract.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Wenger has informed the club he will sign a two-year deal to extend his 21-year stay.
The 67-year-old Frenchman reportedly told the North London club's hierarchy at a meeting last week.
There were initially doubts from Wenger over staying on in his role at the Emirates Stadium but it appears as though he has now made a decision to continue on as Gunners boss for a further two years.
Regarding his job at Arsenal, Wenger recently told reporters: “Don't worry, I know what I will do in my future so you will soon know - very soon."
Despite Wenger's surety to remain at the helm, it is understood that it will not be solely his choice and a joint decision with the club's board will be made.
