1860 Munich’s Cooper injures knee

1860 Munich striker Kenny Cooper looks set to be sidelined for at least a few weeks after injuring his knee.

The USA international sustained the small medial ligament tear during training on Monday but it is not as bad as originally feared as confirmed by the German club.

"It's not very bad," 1860 press liaison Lil Zercher told Soccer365. "He has to stop training for three weeks, but no operation is needed."

Cooper joined the 2. Bundesliga club in August after signing from MLS outfit FC Dallas, scoring three times in 14 appearances for his new club.
