Arsenal are ready to spend big to land Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure.
Toure's brother, Kolo, plays at Arsenal and has urged the midfielder to join him in London.
Sport says Arsenal are willing to offer £16 million for the Ivory Coast international, whose agent has already given the green light to the move.

It would be great to see the toure bro playing side by side on the pitch just like the Nevilie bro of man u but i wonder can arsenal afford his price tag esp since arsenal budjet is tight n theres lots of other young prospect that arsenal are after
Get your facts straight guys. Wenger had the opportunity to sign Yaya BEFORE he went to Olympiacos, and whilst he was playingin Africa. Unfortunately, as Yaya had not played enough times for the Ivory Coast to get special player status, he could only get into Europe via the more lax Belgian route. On Wenger's recommendation he went to Beveren, and THEN on to Olympiacos, whilst his progress was monitored by Arsenal. That Barcelona came in before Arsenal for the player ultimately came down to money and player requirements at each club. But please respect the fact that it was Wenger who got Yaya to Europe in the first place....
Cannot understand why Arsenal is still going after Yaya, if the journalists are to believe.
He was someone which Arsenal had rejected because Wenger was myopic at that time, inspite of his brother's urging and assurance that Yaya is an even better player than himself.
Arsenal was adamant and so the story goes he went somewhere over the rainbow. Now Arsenal is trying to court him, what a waste of time ! If you rejected a girl big time do you expect or think she will return to you having married and settle. Arsenal PLEASE don't be LUNATIC go on get someone else, show some Class ! Mr. Wenger, if you are really behind this episode then I will lose all respect for you !
