Arsenal legend Wright tells Wenger: Stop moaning and buy Gattuso!

Arsenal legend Ian Wright says Arsene Wenger's team miss an enforcer in the mould of AC Milan star Rino Gattuso.

In his column for The Sun, Wright said: "Arsene Wenger accused Manchester United of trying to kick his team off the pitch in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.

"There is no point complaining about it. He needs to address the issue by bringing in someone who will stand up to the bullies.

"If he does not, the manager's five-year wait for a trophy might go on even longer.

"Arsenal need to sign someone like AC Milan's Gennaro Gattuso, an experienced, tough-tackling midfield enforcer who would not have allowed himself or his team-mates to be bullied by a player like United's Darren Fletcher.

"It is no good Wenger complaining about a lack of protection for his young players. They have to protect themselves."

Ian Wright was right, just that when that 'Gattuso-like' DM eventually wears Arsenal shirt, his career in England will be decorated with more red cards than laurels, we all remember how, at a time, they succeeded in making Vieira look like a bad boy of English football, but the Fletchers, Ronaldos and Rooney of this world do it and are applauded for being great performers ...simply because they wear Utd shirts.

Football is not all about talent. Wenger need to get advise from Dunga, a junior manager, who happen to get the best out of Brazil by blending talent and stregngth. Mr Rght is right in this case, no need to moan, he must simply buy or accept his failure. Coz it is clear that they are too babies if they can't stand Fletcher.

Well said Ian Wright,at least a legend like you has spoken out, please tell it to that whining old stingy coach who does not understand modern day football.
When there was no money,we were all blaming the board, but after selling two players with the hope of selling more, what does wenger want to do keeping the money?Pay his own pension from the money after performing his lousy experiments and successfully playing five (5) seasons without a trophy!
