Arsenal legend Wright: Abramovich must back Chelsea boss Ancelotti

Arsenal legend Ian Wright says it's time Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich fully backed his manager.

In his column for The Sun, Wright wrote: "After Jose Mourinho helped dump the club out of the Champions League, the cracks in their Premier League bid were once again there for all to see in Sunday's draw at Blackburn.

"Maybe they will still win the FA Cup. But I'm not too sure whether Chelsea's fans and certainly Roman Abramovich are that bothered about the cup.

"Had owner Abramovich stuck with Mourinho, I strongly believe they would have won in Europe by now.

"But it is now vital for Chelsea's Russian chief to stop hiring and firing bosses and actually back his manager.

"If Chelsea do end the season without a pot to pour champagne in, they must keep faith with Carlo Ancelotti.

"Stability on the management side has always been vitally important for both Manchester United and Arsenal. At Chelsea, this appears to have been a side issue."
