Arsenal legend Lehmann slams England players

Jens Lehmann has slammed England's World Cup flops.

The former Arsenal keeper claims England can win Euro 2012 ahead of his own country, despite the 4-1 defeat to the Germans at the World Cup.

Lehmann told The Sun: "I see my kids watching the Premier League and your players are adored in Germany.

"They didn't do well at the World Cup but for their clubs they do.

"Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry or Ferdinand, the kids in Germany know them and adore them.

"Germany beating England may have decreased the admiration a little bit but you had a goal wrongly disallowed and did not have Ferdinand.

"England were not good at this World Cup but they may win 2012, while we were good at the last World Cup but may be runner-ups in 2012."

So saying that German kids adore the England players and saying the truth, that England did not play well at the WC but that they have a chance to win the EC 2010 constitutes as slamming? Not even some British German-haters will fall for this.

tribal, can u point out to me which part in his statement that shows him slamming the england players?

He's got a point, I don't like the arrogant sun-bed swiper, but on this occassion he's shown Germanic precision with his comments.
