Arsenal defender Nordtveit: Nurnberg made me better player

Arsenal defender Havard Nordtveit says his time on-loan at Nurnberg has made him a better player.

Nordtveit's fledgling career has already taken in spells in Spain, England, Norway and Germany, and he believes that his season-long loan in the Bundesliga has taken his game to a new level.

"To be 20 years old and play in the Bundesliga in Germany was, for me, fantastic," Nordtveit told Arsenal.com.

"I made 20 appearances and I played against the big lads like [Bayern Munich stars] Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

"I played with 82,000 watching. You have pressure on you, you have to win three points, so for me it was a big step, especially mentally.

"You need to be focused and you need to be ready every day, every game. I think it was a big step for me. At the start it was tough, in Germany it is disciplined but I like discipline so there was no problem."
