Arsenal to confirm Wenger has £50M available for transfers

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has access to transfer funds of up to £50 million.

The Mail on Sunday says Wenger will come under pressure to spend when the club reveal a transfer fund of about £50 million this week.

Arsenal will confirm their status as the best-run club in the Premier League as they continue to lower their £236m debt and announce an expected turnover of about £220m.

But the accounts will show that Wenger has ample funds available after another quiet transfer window, in which his only signings were Laurent Koscielny, Sebastien Squillaci and Marouane Chamakh, for an estimated total of £10m.
