Arsenal boss Wenger: I was keen on Benzema

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he was interested in Karim Benzema before his move this week to Real Madrid.

When asked which French players he admired, Wenger said: "There is one who interested me but he (Karim Benzema) left for Madrid.

"I did not make of approach because I would never have thought that Lyon would sell this year."

Its a shame what Wanger is doing to us the fans. U made us believe u'll think right this time but its all false alarm. Who are u for next,....ronaldo or ribery?
