Arsenal boss Wenger admits he may not buy new striker

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits they're not close to signing a new striker.

With striker Nicklas Bendtner coming close to a first-team return, perhaps in time for the visit of Manchester United next weekend, Wenger hinted he may now not move to bolster the squad with another forward.

"At the moment we are not on the verge of signing anybody," said Wenger, set to be without injured Holland international Robin van Persie until April.

"It is very difficult in January to find players who are available for the Champions League, who are just good enough to play for Arsenal and at the right price.

"You never know, but at the moment it [to sign a striker] is unlikely."

AW did not say he does not want to buy! He said
he 'MAY' not buy if the reporting is correct! I will
not be surprised if at the end of Jan, Arsenal
welcomes a striker into its fold! Whatever, AW
would have weighed all aspects of the team.

i ve always known that the whole story will change, after series of speculations about arsenes intention to buy an attacker, above all i stll respect the intelligence of my proffesssor ( in arsene i trust) 4ever grateful, sire. gunners 4life.
