Agent: Man Utd boss Ferguson refused to sell Tosic

The agent of Zoran Tosic insists Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson sees the Serb as a long-term player.

The winger completed a six-month loan move to German outfit Cologne this week, bringing to an end a stagnant 12-months with United.

His agent is adamant the move Germany is the right one and he believes it will ultimately be Manchester United who profit.

Zoran Pavlovic said: "There were some offers to buy out Tosic’s contract, but Manchester United were unwilling to go for that option. Sir Alex Ferguson is obviously counting on him in the future."

National coach Radomir Antic, added: "I think Tosic saw his chance, because in the latest games for the national team he has proved his quality – with his goals, overall performances and attitude.

"I am most certainly happy to see him having more first team action now."
