Napoli have been told to come clean over their interest in Liverpool fullback Andrea Dossena.

Dossena has been linked with the Serie A club ahead of the January market.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Federico Pastorello said: “Unfortunately I don't want to get your hopes up, but there is nothing new to report.

“The player is in Liverpool and has had a complicated and difficult start to the season, for which we need to find a solution. It all depends on the offers.

“Now we have to see if Napoli will move concretely.”
