Adelaide United remaining patient on marquee player
Adelaide United coach Aurelio Vidmar is remaining patient over signing a marquee player.
The Reds are yet to add a star to their playing list but Vidmar is not about to sign anybody and is looking for the right person to serve his club well both on and off field.
"At this point there's no scope for a marquee player but I think we need it, not just our club but I think every club needs it,'' Vidmar said.
"I still believe the right marquee player is someone who can bring something for you on the park and off the park.'
“But, personally, I’d prefer we had a marquee player who was actually a marketable player.
“It gives us the opportunity if it doesn’t happen this year to really study hard and look for the right options for next year.
“The option is there and that’s why we’ll be having meetings over the next three or four weeks about planning forward for next season and also the ACL (Asian Champions League).
