Adelaide United to know more on Leckie injury today
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Mon, 11/01/2010 - 01:50
Adelaide United will know more about the knee injury sustained by young gun Mathew Leckie later today.
The 19-year old was felled by a Surat Sukha tackle in the 15th minute of the league leaders’ 2-1 loss to Melbourne Victory on Friday night.
Leckie had scans this morning with the results to come back at some stage today but it looks as though it may be a ruptured medial ligament which would keep him out of action for about two months.
The Young Socceroos star has been in great form for the Reds this season but his loss will be a major blow.
Joe Keenan has been called back as an injury replacement player for Leckie after his initial short-term deal finished last week.
