Adelaide United chasing foreigners to fill playing roster
Adelaide United are looking for foreign players to fill the remaining spots on their playing list for next season.
The Reds are looking to add at least two overseas players to their squad despite being close to the salary cap.
Coach Aurelio Vidmar says the club has a few different options.
“We had a striker that agreed on terms but something else came his way," Vidmar said.
"There's two more spots for foreigners.
"But maybe we can squeeze three, maybe four players (on the roster) because of salary cap issues.
"We're close to it (the salary cap) already.
"The ones we're looking at are currently in season and they'e out of contract at the end of May and June," he added.
"There's a couple of English boys that we're still talking to so once again until they give us a 100 per cent guarantee that they're happy we've got to continue moving forward."
