Adelaide close to extending Rudan deal

Mark Rudan is close to signing a new 18-month contract with Adelaide Unikted according to reports.

The 34-year old initially joined in August on a one-year deal from FC Vaduz but is now considering his options to extend his deal which would allow him tom play for the Reds in next season’s Asian Champions League.

If he comes to terms with the club, he will remain at Hindmarsh Stadium until the end of the 2011 season which would be a great boost for the club because of his extensive experience.

Rudan captained Sydney FC to the first A-League championship in the 2005/06 season and since then has played in Japan with Avispa Fukuoka and in Liechtenstein with Vaduz.
