Adelaide’s Hughes bracing for fire against Central Coast

Adelaide United midfielder Adam Hughes is bracing himself for a fiery contest when they take on the Central Coast Mariners this weekend.

Both sides are coming off losses last week and will be looking to cement their spots in the top six when they meet at Canberra Stadium on Saturday night and Hughes insists that the match will be full of action after disappointments last week.

"I think it's going to be a fiery match," Hughes said.

"They're not going to like they way they lost last week and we don't, either.

“I do think from the word go it's going to be a 100-miles-an-hour match. I prefer an up-tempo and aggressive game and take command of the match."

The Reds are currently in 6th position on the table, one point behind the Mariners so it is a vital game in the context of the entire season.
