AC Milan legend Boban slates Zaccheroni over Juventus move
AC Milan legend Zvonimir Boban has slammed Juventus over the appointment of Alberto Zaccheroni as new coach.
Juventus formally announced Zaccheroni’s appointment yesterday afternoon after Ciro Ferrara was fired following a run of nine defeats in 12 games.
Boban, who won a Scudetto with Milan under Zaccheroni in 1999, said he couldn’t understand the decision.
“Juventus have shown a lack of style in dealing in this way just as Zaccheroni has done in accepting to become a caretaker boss,” he told Sky Italia.
“Alberto won the Scudetto and a little respect is lacking on both sides. For example, Juventus disrespected Ferrara and Zaccheroni is disrespecting his own past.
“I think that it’s difficult for someone like him to take over a team in the middle of a season.
“Juventus wanted Benitez and instead they hired Zac, someone who has always played with three at the back. I don’t understand it.
“If Juventus want Benitez, I don’t understand how well Zac will look after the team for him. He is someone who needs time and I don’t see him as a caretaker. It would have been better to just keep Ferrara.”

I am free to say what i want. Just like this gypsy boobman says out of his ass.
Zac's football was past it when he was employed as a coach 5 or 6 years ago. His tactics and game plan will almost certainly not suit Juventus or any other team who do not have good strikers and solid defenders in abundance.
The first posted comment above is, well, sheer blindness.
Juve will not finish in the top 4 this year! I agree with Boban.
Boban should not talk. Nobody from Juve befriends him , and his opinion on such are not welcome. Boban should ask himself why he was a junk 3rd rate player like that other "white boy" playmaker-farce Mostovoi. The only Russian who calls himself a playmaker and covers the ground that a R.Carlos would. Russian player who has a little trick or two and puts in th effort to cover ground = Mostovoi.
