AC Milan confirm approach to Real Madrid for Garay

AC Milan have confirmed an approach to Real Madrid for defender Ezequiel Garay.

Garay has also been linked with Manchester United ahead of the January market.

Milan vice-president Galliani revealed: "For the defence, I asked for the central defender Garay from Real Madrid, but Florentino Perez has refused."

Garay jumped off the bench to score the winner for Real against Valencia on Saturday.
