AC Milan coach Allegri satisfied after Emirates Cup campaign
AC Milan coach Max Allegri was satisfied with their Emirates Cup campaign.
The Rossoneri drew with hosts Arsenal on Saturday before doing the same against Lyon yesterday.
“I am satisfied with what we have done over these two days,” Allegri said of the 1-1 draws.
“I’d give the team 6.5 out of 10. The thing I liked the most was the defensive movement, as we looked pretty organised.
“Another thing that left me pleasantly surprised was the mentality of everyone. They did not treat this as a friendly tournament.”
Alexandre Pato clawed back the result against Arsenal, while today Marco Borriello had given Milan the lead over Lyon.
“What I didn’t like, however, was that we made the same mistakes as yesterday,” complained Allegri.
“When we lost the ball, too often we left ourselves open to the counter-attack. This should not happen.”
