AC Milan boss Max Allegri intends to play Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Chievo Verona.

The Sweden international striker had been complaining of hernia-like symptoms, generating concern at San Siro.

Speaking at a pre-match Press conference, Allegri said: “We are ready to win and we must start again in the best of ways.

“Tomorrow's game will be fundamental for our progress this season. Among other things it will also be crucial to understand how we'll face this month, which includes the derby.

“We have improved because we have all been able to work together. I am sorry only for Ambrosini who is still out.

“The club has built a great team to fight in Italy and in Europe. I am lucky to have such an important team available to me.

“Ibrahimovic has never had a hernia. This international break has allowed him to rest and to train well.

“He'll be there tomorrow.

“Playing a game every three days is not easy and takes a lot of energy away.”
