Abramovich cuts communication line with senior Chelsea players group

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has decided the days of player power are over at Stamford Bridge.

And Abramovich's surprise move means coach Carlo Ancelotti will now emerge from their Champions League setback stronger NOT weaker.

A top insider at Stamford Bridge told The Sun: "The players have had a lot of sway over the years and used it over and over again to get what they wanted.

"They got the big contracts but they delivered the big prizes.

"The trouble is they're not delivering right now and it's been decided it's time for a change.

"So although the players will still have an input, it is Ancelotti who will run the show from now on."

An interesting way to shift the blame Roman you sacked the manager who put the indian sign over our main rivals and who stuck it to us on Tuesday. Ancelotti picks the players and the tactics which have been useless you can believe in a system but it will only work if you have the players for that system if you don't then change system to suit what you have available. At half time according to Ross Turnbull Ancelotti told them to keep doing what they were and keep their shape this despite the fact we were getting nowhere. Ancelotti was out thought by Mourinho pure and simple end of. The fact is Italian managers are stubborn and stick to the ITALIAN WAY that does not win you the EPL just ask Vialli, Ranieri etc. Players need to believe in what they are asked to do thats why it works for MUFC but thats why its not working at the Bridge or Anfield. Last season was a prime example the players lost belief in Scolari and we were struggling for a CL spot in comes Hiddink who they players believed in and trusted and we secured that spot and the FA cup. Ancelotti needs to understand the intensity of the EPL and he does not.
