Abramovich assures Terry Chelsea right behind him

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has phoned John Terry to assure him of the club's full support.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has phoned John Terry to assure him of the club's full support.

Further revelations about the Chelsea and England skipper's affair have been exposed but Abramovich is adamant there is no reason for the club to take action.

A source close to the Russian told The Sun: "Roman told John he's fully behind him.

"There is nothing but support for him at the club in a difficult time.

"The bottom line is this is a private matter. John has not done anything illegal and it's up to him how he deals with it.

"He's a valuable team member and one of the Chelsea family, his position at the club is not in any doubt."

Terry trained with team-mates yesterday without any fuss.

One staff member described the scene as 'business as usual' but no one discussed the sensational headlines involving Terry.
