Sydney was founded in 2004 as part of a bid for a spot in the A-league which they received and have since played their home games at Sydney Football Stadium. Since then Sydney has gone on to receive honours such as 2 A-league Championships, 1 Premiership and 1 Oceania Club Champions. Sydney is currently managed by Vítězslav Lavička and is captained by Terry McFlynn.
